What We Collect

When you create an author or reviewer account, we collect your email address and a password (securely managed by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your password directly). If you choose to complete your profile, we also store your full name, institutional affiliation, ORCID iD, a short bio, and a profile photo. When you submit a manuscript, we collect the manuscript file itself, its title, abstract, keywords, research area, and your AI tool usage disclosure.

How We Use It

Your information is used solely to operate the journal: managing your account, processing and reviewing your submissions, communicating status updates by email, and — if you choose to complete a public profile — displaying your name and published work on your public author page. During peer review, your identity is deliberately withheld from reviewers to preserve double-blind review integrity.

Who Can See What

Your email address is never displayed publicly. Your manuscript is visible only to editorial staff and reviewers assigned to it — reviewers never see your name or email. If you complete a public profile, your name, affiliation, bio, and published articles become visible to any visitor on your public author page.

Your Choices

You may update or remove your profile details at any time from your account dashboard. To request deletion of your account or data entirely, contact kjsss@kasu.edu.ng.

Submission Terms

By submitting a manuscript to KJSSS, you confirm that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal. You are responsible for the accuracy of your submission and for disclosing any use of AI tools in its preparation, per our Author Guidelines.

Open Access & Licensing

Published articles are made freely available under an open-access model. Authors retain copyright of their own work; KJSSS is granted a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the article on this platform.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Reviewer accounts carry an obligation of confidentiality — manuscript content and any materials accessed during review must not be shared or used outside the review process.
